My personal prayer is that my own willingness to give and to adapt will come back to me now (a good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over…Luke 6:38) as I prepare to put my own special needs child into a regular education classroom.

The Stranger

Literature can be a powerful tool for teaching children how to view the world through spiritual lenses. I bring a stack of books home from the library every week to read with my children and sometimes I find a real gem for teaching moral or spiritual lessons. One week I chose a book by Chris Van Allsburg titled The Stranger.
