“You see, years ago, aerodynamic engineers studied this creature and decided that it simply should not be able to fly! Its wings are too weak and its body too heavy for flight. Everything seems to tell the bumblebee, “You’ll never get off the ground.” But I like to think that maybe–just maybe– our Divine Creator whispered, “You can do it!” So it did!”
About Me
I am a special education teacher in Oregon. I came into this profession for personal reasons, which is not uncommon. I have met many other caring special education teachers who either have struggled to overcome a disability themselves, or who have worked to support a loved one with a disability. Our jobs are multidimensional. We combine teaching with social work and advocacy to ensure that our students get what they need to be successful.
I love my job, but the responsibility is weighty. Every day, on my way to work, I ask God to guide me. What are the essential issues that I need to address today for my students? I want to see past the noise and the busy work to the heart of my duties. I blog about these topics so that I can strengthen my profession and advocate for children with disabilities. In doing this, I will avoid personal examples that would be a breech in confidentiality for the children on my caseload. However, it is for these children that I speak. They are my heroes and my inspiration. I dedicate my work to them.

Good Morning!
Love your blog, and book reviews. My name is Marla Roth-Fisch, author/illustrator of Future Horizons’ award winning children’s book, Sensitive Sam.
In addition to being an author, I am now pioneering Future Horizons digital marketing campaign, which primarily focuses on seeking on line opportunitites for FH’s authors, speakers, books, DVD’s, and CD’s.
I would like to invite you to become a volunteer on our National Reviewing Network Blogging Team.
We will be thrilled to supple you with complimentary titles, (one of which you have posted already by Tony Attwood), if interested on line author interviews, book excerpts and cover photos all in order for you to offer your readers what they need to help them and their families/friends, which in turn will drive traffic to your site and keep the readers coming back for more.
Please consider this neat and special blogging opportunity, and contact me soon.
With gratitude for all you do,
